It is my honor to introduce you to Regency Soapworks owned by Elisabeth Tyler of Missouri. Elisabeth creates artisan and natural goat’s milk soap. After learning about essential oils, Tyler wanted to live a healthier life including the products she used daily for herself and her family. She started making her own lotion, deodorant, lip balm, shampoo and other beauty items. She was researching ideas for making a body cleanser when she discovered cold press soap making and it was a perfect fit for her.
The artisan soap is mostly natural ingredients scented with fragrance oil. These soaps are fun scents such as fruits, floral and perfume type fragrances. Made with natural oils and butters, the artisan soap is great for your skin. It comes in various colors and patterns.
If you have sensitive skin, Elisabeth also creates all natural goat’s milk soap. This soap is made with natural oils and butter as well, but it scented with healing essential oils. The soaps are very nurturing to the skin and offer many healing properties. She uses local goat’s milk and honey to create these wonderful soaps.
I asked Elisabeth the benefits of using her soap – she explains “Using homemade soap is so much better than the store bought soap. The soap you get at the store is full of harsh chemicals, drying to your skin and leaves out the moisturizing glycerin. You are basically buying detergent to wash your skin instead of a moisture rich soap. Each bar of my soap is made from natural oils and butters that are rich in antioxidants, vitamins and nutrients that are essential to healthy skin. Everyone wants to have healthy, moisturized skin and this is the way to achieve it. I also leave 5% of excess oils and butters in my soap to give them an extra conditioning effect. Most people don't even need to use lotion after using a homemade soap in the shower. I also make a special baby bastille goats milk soap. It includes natural oils and butters that are gentle for your children's skin and I have included carrot puree that has several healing properties. Carrots are rich in antioxidants and vitamins that are nourishing for your skin. I can leave the baby bastille goat’s milk soap unscented or add in lavender essential oil for a calming and restful benefit. Goats milk soap also has many amazing health benefits. Goat’s milk contains lactic acid for alpha hydroxy skin rejuvenation. Old skin cells are easily lost after exposure to alpha hydroxy and this leaves the new skin cells feeling smooth. Goat’s milk soap also has a pH level similar to the human skin. It protects your skin from the daily invasion of bacteria and chemicals. Many people with skin issues find that goat’s milk soap is mild, soothing and healing”.
