As I was pondering the thoughts of having an attitude of gratitude, I wondered if anyone was thankful for me? Have you ever thought that? Have I made a difference to anyone? I remembered while watching the funeral procession of Princess Diana a reporter saying that if she could only see how many lives she touched and how many people loved her... What an impact that would have had on her life while living.
Yet too often we don't tell people who have influenced us or made a difference in our lives. Its awkward, or they know it I don't need to tell them. But do they? Even if they do know it, we all like hearing it. I started thinking about all the people in my life who I love, or who have encouraged me in some way, or who have influenced me. Some of these people are in my lives daily and I get the opportunity to tell them how much I love and appreciate them but some I am no longer in contact with or rarely see. It is simply the way of life. People come in and out of your life daily but all impact it in some way. I am grateful for all the people in my life, the ones who love me no matter what, the ones who make me laugh when I'm down, the ones who listen to me vent, the ones I only hear from occasionally. I'm even grateful for the ones who have hurt me because even during the pain I've learned a lesson.
If you know me, I want to thank you personally for being a part of my life whether a large or small part. You've touched me in some way, you've helped make me who I am today. Thank you. I challenge you this year to say thanks to all the people who have been a blessing in your life. So often we wait till the time is right and that day may never come. Now is the time. Today is the day. No regrets.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. May God bless.
